Founded by author Natalie Ferrington, Tales & Thyme is a traveling bookstore and curiosity shop created to bring the fun back to reading. We believe bookstores should be more than places to buy books—they should spark curiosity, create connections, and leave you with a story to tell.

We carry beautifully wrapped Blind Dates with a Book, signed books from independent authors, handmade insect art, unusual little treasures, and a carefully curated collection of romance, fantasy, horror, and wonderfully hard-to-find reads.

Tales & Thyme is also home to the Adopt A Book Bug™ program. Choose a preserved resin specimen, select a miniature book—also known as “Bug Food”—and complete your official adoption papers. It’s the easiest pet you’ll ever own. All you have to do is read to feed!

Our signature Blind Dates with a Book are thoughtfully selected, beautifully wrapped, and finished with a wax seal. Each one includes a bookmark, stickers, an art print, and a feather—plus the excitement of discovering your next favorite story.

Books, Brews & New Book Friends

Through our Books & Brews Tour, we bring the mobile bookstore to breweries and gathering places for the pop-up book club you didn’t know you needed. Meet other readers, browse the shelves, and join us for book bingo, book trivia, creative activities, and plenty of conversations about the stories we love.

We also offer private mobile bookstore experiences beginning at $350. Book the Book Mobile for three hours and let us create a memorable, interactive bookish event for your group. Experiences may include:

• Hosted book bingo or book trivia

• One Curiosity Cabinet drawer pull for up to 10 guests

• Prizes from our Story Teller Machine

• Access to shop the mobile bookstore

• Add 5 signed books and 30 minute video call from the author for $125 more

DIY bookmarks, Bedazzle a Book, additional refreshments, books, and other activities can be added to make the experience your own for a small additional fee. .
